What happened to Van's engine gauges

Folks,

A friend just had an overvolt and fried all his stock engine gauges.

The Van's web site shows them as no longer available...What gives?

BUT...


the PT-26 has THE NICEST control harmony of any airplane I've ever flown. Simply delightful.

I put out a pretty well developed fire in Rabbit's cowl with my halon extinguisher.

Rabbit was even classy enough to replace it.

I add half the steady-state wind speed PLUS all of the gust to my final approach speed.

So for example winds 15G30 would result in a 22.5 mph increase in vref.

Easy way to check

I was taught to periodically test the mags for proper grounding by briefly turning the mag switch to off and then back on immediately prior to shutdown. This test should be done at idle power.
