Thank you for looking into this. Looks like sweat drops that were allowed to get going and then not cleaned prior to applying the anti corrosion treatment. At least that's what it looks like to me.

I'd strongly suggest you just fix the leak. The fuselage tank takes up a huge amount of room and makes for tight quarters behind the instrument panel making upgrades tricky.

I haven't done it on a 14, but so far any RV with round gear I've had good luck by putting a hose clamp on the tube and using that as I jack pad for a floor jack. Cheap and effective.

Hose clamp

Just put a hose clamp on the rod gear down by the brake caliper with the screw section facing down. A floor jack will lift on the screw portion of the clamp just like a jack point. Easy and cheap.

Silly thought, but make sure you don't have an ILS frequency in the 430 as active. Even with it in GPS mode the bars will be displayed if there's any ILS frequency in the active nav side of your 430.
