I’ve washed dirt bikes thousands of times. Any starting issue afterwards has always been water intrusion into the ignition system.
Questions: Was it washed with the cowl off? Do you have an EI?

I second Fly LED’s combo light. Got mine from Flyboys.
Ask for an extra diffuser disk to spread the light more.

The rudder is plenty effective in the 3 point attitude. If you have short gear that attitude is fairly flat with several knots of flying speed above the stall. No real full stall landing possible...
