I like the way the -6 flies over the -7 also.....

I like the way the -6 flies over the -7 also.. the -7 feels more sporty and nimble, the -7 feels slower in roll and cruise speed.. I like the construction of the -6 spar better too.. the only benefit...

On my -4, it was helpful to do some work through the holes in the wingtip with the tip removed. As for the lens, I made a grab handle with masking tape to hold the lenses into position.

Sounds like the roll pins that Hartzell props use, and they specify .032 safety wire though the roll pins. I wouldnít drill the roll pins for .040.. youíll probably break the drill bits trying it.

You can do the ABQ route, Iíve done it many times.. a popular fuel stop is SJN, but looks like KSOW has the cheapest fuel now.. as for the Grand Canyon, google the internet for the routes....

Yes, use the hydraulic oil that you are using for brake fluid.. but not actual brake fluid. I know a guy who used Dot 3 with not good results. Notice Vans recommends the Royco high temp fluid now...

I second the paint stick. Start with an empty tank and just add 2 gallons at a time, using a sharpie to mark the levels. A bare wooden stick is the easier to read over one that has been sealed..
