You can see a TOD timer at the top of the flight plan page so you don't have to go all the way to the VNAV config page.

I would like to see a TOD marker on the display as well.

I don't know for sure but my guess is that it uses both with inline diodes to keep the power separated. If that is the case then it would draw current from the higher voltage one (pwr 2 in this case).

I did check them with the rivet gauge and they all just barely fit or were just slightly too big to fit. The shop head on the 3/32 rivets were around 0.140 to 0.146 in diameter.
