I, too, liked the "push-button" starter design. I used it. Seems so..."non-Cessna"... so "old school"...
I solved the security issue by having a cut-out switch inside my forward baggage...

AP servo

I had to upgrade to the 42 for my RV-8's elevator servo...I couldn't get past the setup procedure without clacking and slipping.
Don't know if my original -32 was defective or not, but the -42 works...

Indoor/outdoor carpet and spray adhesive.
GPS antennae...flat black...but it still wasn't enough. Resorted to adding a piece of black felt to cover the GPS.

I routinely carry 2 25# bags of lead shot stradling the rear seat when I'm flying solo.
When I have a passenger, I remove them, unless he or she is heavy...then I put them in the forward bag compt....

I flew 5 hours, over 2 days, dual with an instructor in Okeechobee Florida. RV-6, I think. We did dozens of landings until I was comfortable...and my first flight in my -8 was uneventful!

For what it's worth, my IO-360, with dual P-Mags will cruise at around 2250 rpm, 50 degrees LOP at 5.2 gph. About 145 TAS.

What's the purpose for checking fuel pressure 5 minutes after shutdown? Should it increase or decrease? Or would that be a bad thing?
