I did my whole Rv-10 cowl with skybolts and the skybolt flanges.

The flanges that came with the skybolt kit are .050; they get machine countersunk for the flush rivets. Nothing needs to be done to...

I think that garmin cautions against mounting it on the gdu due to the possibility of vibration if the gdu is not adequately supported in the panel. This doesn’t seem to be a problem in the RV...

Well, integrating the vpx with the trim allows for speed trim, much like every other trim controller out there for the Rv-10.

Sacrificial top

I always use 1/8" Masonite (tempered hardboard) for my tops...works great, inexpensive, and easily replaceable.

It is a nice smooth, durable material...just don't spill your drink on it!

That said, once trimmed, I rarely changed it and as has been said, it takes only light pressure on the climb to stay...
