IO-390 Case Bolts and Studs

Don,
The basic values are:
1/2" thru-studs: 600 in.-lbs
3/8" nuts: 300 in.-lbs
1/4" nuts and capscrews: 96-108 in.-lbs
1/4" shear nuts: 55-60 in.-lbs

Sealant Remover

Polygone sealant remover gel from Van's: part is POLYGONE 300AG

There are several A&Ps, including A&P/IA's in the KC area that work on (and own) RVs.

I know of at least two that are members of EAA Chapter 91 here at Lee's Summit (KLXT).

Todd's Fit

I started with Van's and switched to Todd's. Both fit about the same in the front part of the slider, but the Todd's fit better in the aft portion.

I had about 1/8" to 1/4" gap with the Todd's....

Self-stick Felt

One of the RVs here is trying self-stick felt...purchased at Hobby Lobby for $2 or so. Thinner than the Velcro.

Two should be fine; you could even go with a lighter cloth for much of this application with the heavier cloth used for the air inlet/outlet portions of the duct.

Agree with Mike-if you used Sikaflex you'll need to cover it to protect it from UV. Sikaflex 295UV is UV resistant-not UV proof. It will deteriorate if left unprotected.

Get a tube of IPS Weldon 16 acrylic cement. It's about $12-15 depending on source...available from many sources online.

It's extremely runny cement that dries quickly, so be very careful with it....
