Tie Down

I use these on my RV-8A. When I want to jack the aircraft I simply swap out the streamlined tie downs for some Carriage Bolts of the proper size. The heads of the Carriage Bolts nest nicely into...

I am using these for the Elevator and Aileron however it is not a good solution for locking the Rudder. The 8A sits up high on the gear and I can't get one of these on the rudder without a step...

Loctite 567

I used the EZ Turn and ended up with a couple of leaks. I took the brake system down and reinstalled the fittings with Locite 567. Since then I have had no problems.

Same as powdercoat

I used a color as close to the powdercoating as I could get.
Remember, light colors make a confined space look and feel larger. Dark colors tend to give a "closed-in" feeling to a space.

I installed the crush washer only and have experienced no leaks.
Make certain that you have the proper size crush washer and that you have torqued it to the correct spec.

The ramp remains flat. Do not bend it. It will make sense once you begin fitting everything up.
There is a possibility that you will have to do some "surgery" on the fiberglass snorkle to fit it...

I polished them on the buffing wheel until they looked chrome plated.
