They have a good idea with the curved mount with slots for the screws allowing adjustment along the upper leading edge. It would be easy to incorporate those features in a home grown mount.

Dynon has pretty good documentation on installation. I found the job to be a 3/10 in difficulty. I put the aileron servo under the pass. seat. No problems.
