From the looks of your work I would guess you are using too much air pressure
Dial it back to no more than 40 PSI for #3s and 60 for #4s.....
Air pressure makes all the difference!

If you are starting in WA, fly the Columbia R Gorge from Troutdale to the Dalles.
It is beautiful. That puts you in E. Or. within easy traveling and good stops into Nevada south to S Utah, AZ & NM....

I suggest giving Vans a call. Trying to straighten skin is difficult and time consuming. It is often quicker to replace a skin than try to straighten one that is bent.

Yes, the 10 is roomier than the 9A, but more expensive to run.

Reorder the skins.
The waviness comes from twisting the tool as you use it.
Keep it straight up and down and use a light bending pressure

I agree on checking 3 times a year
I also take my wheels to my friendly Costco tire bay and have them fill them
With nitrogen during my annual.

On my 9A I have it set up Throttle-prop-mixture with the flap switch to the left of the throttle where I can operate it with my thumb.

I solved the nose wheel shimmy problem by getting the AntiSplat nose wheel axel treatment. With the solid axel the wheel spins free as a bike wheel, hence no more shimmy problems.
