That's cool, but the Peg is spring loaded so aerodynamic loads above a certain speed (I forget), the slats stay retracted. Once you get slow enough the slats pop out on their own.

having built most of an RV-12 I can honestly say I'm voting pull rivets. Much quicker build! Of course that doesn't mean you can't use solid rivets, if you want, does it?

The easiest build, i think, has to be an RV-12. Think pull rivets! It goes together really quickly, looks good, great documentation. It's performance mirrors that of a 172 (climb, cruise, etc)....

Probably the easiest thing is to buy the RV-9 plans USB for $10. It should have it laid out. Typically, they use the part # - L/R for left or right (when its different).
