Drill

Round the tip and lube then use a drill to run the pin in. My wingtip hinge pins were a best at first. Couple of cycles with the drill and they go right in.

When in doubt, measure.
AN part numbers have meaning.
AN426AD3-4 for example.

The 3 is three 32nds in diameter
The 4 is four 16ths in length.

If your battery is on the firewall, make sure nothing blocks it from sliding out of the box.
