They could also be MK321BS rivets with a Maximum grip of 0.109 Inch, which would be the longerons with 2 layers of skin.

When I bought my last iPad - an iPad 2 version - many years ago I had to get a cell phone version because the wi-fi version did not have a GPS unit installed.

The upper and lower brackets can just be stiffeners with a space...

The AKZO is almost bullet proof once it has cured and you don't stand much chance of stripping it off. :)
