Yes it is a lot of work but they are beautiful when you finish them. I went through the full procedure and after my final paint job I get many complements on how well they look and function.

Autolite 386
NGK AB6

I am presently testing the NGK and so far I am pleased with it.

I hung my engine while the fuselage was still on its stand. I did build a support that went directly under the sump that was heavy enough to fully support the weight of the engine.

Call EarthX. They worked with me to resolve a problem I had with the Battery Control Module. They were able to repair it for a nominal charge as my battery was also out of the 2 year warranty.

I use a Shopsmith bandsaw. It utilizes a blade 72" long X 1/4" with a 14 pitch. It works great. The miter Gage from the table saw works on it allowing accurate cuts straight or on an angle.

Glad to see I am at the same spot on my project. I have the same question. I was considering just coating the lead with epoxy and blending with the outside of the wingtip.
