Your local paint supplier should sell Panel Wipe. It is a slow solvent that de greases and removes silicone prior to painting.

Maroon Scotch, wipe down with panel wipe, paint. Never had an issue...

All very achievable - have extraction and a good 3M 4251 mask.

You can trim the ends of the heatshrink tubing and use an ultra fine sharpie on the tube for simple idents - works well - write big though as..... Well, it shrinks :D

If you are building from scratch - I would strongly suggest you look at SDS for injection and ignition. Modern parts, superb stuff, just about to fit ours onto a 540 core.

It is a top quality organic vapor mask.

I change mine every 6 months and yes - keep it tightly sealed between uses.
