I can select the 430 or the internal flight plan on the AF5400. My thought is that it only changes the pilot interface, since both will be using the 430 for the GPS data.

If I have it in the AF5400, isnít it using the 430 to steer the airplane and I just have a different user interface to modify the flight...

My G5 is installed as a back up attitude indicator. An RS232 connection to one of the AF5400 serial ports allows the G5ís ADAHRS to be used as a back up by the EFIS.

I just installed a Garmin G5 and wired it to function as the back up ADAHRS for my AF5400T in accordance with Advanced Flight Systems installation instructions.

I ran one Pmag and an impulse mag for about 150...

I ran one Pmag and an impulse mag for about 150 hours before changing the impulse mag out for a second Pmag last week.

Everything worked flawlessly.
