No need to drill that hole - many run the wiring out through the existing ? hole in the rear spar that’s directly behind the trim motor, or through the end inboard rib of the elevator.

If you are using the VPX electrical system then you will need the LR3C B&C regulator otherwise use the SB1B model, I’m surprised that this wasn’t asked.

The 14 I've flown has a very tiny hole in starter for timing however you can use the timing mark on the aft side of the 'flywheel' & use the split line of the crankcase as the engine reference point...
