I put mine on AL angles across top longerons...

I put mine on AL angles across top longerons behind baggage bulkhead. Used brass hardware. Compass changes when opening and closing canopy but no problems after canopy is closed.

I replaced the solenoid on my new Skytech 149-12LS after less than a year in service with the same issue as yours. Used Duralast SS1115 from Autozone to fix the problem. Cheap and simple to repair.

I hate it when that happens. Use a hardwood block with a shallow slit to carefully roll the edge. Compare your work to a properly rolled edge as you go.

My opinion FWIW. On my RV-8 I did not install rivets in those holes. The bolts support the lower part of the hinge bracket. On the A-model the rivets would need to be installed.
