If you also have a Garmin navigator in the panel, most will put out aviation format data.

I originally had my dat from my GDU460, but had to change data source to GTX375 to get aviation format....

I have the same problem with my engine. I am hoping the the oil vapor in the crankcase is enough to keep the inside clean as long as all the holes are covered.

If one is using the aviation plugs, I think using a wrench on a plug socket is fine. But if one is using an automotive type plug, I think access through the baffle would prevent tweaking the plugs...
