Proper n-number & artistic license
Thanks for the input & commentary.
A follow-on .. If there's a 3" n-number on the tail that follows specs & put a 12" 'n-number' with my king chess piece as the #1. From my view I've followed specs while similarly adding a decoration. What say you? |
That begs an interesting question. Say you put a proper 3 inch umber on your plane. You get signoff. Then you apply your new paint scheme - which consists of dozens of random N numbers all over the surface of the plane in all kinds of sizes. Is a reg broken?

Please read part 45 in it's entirety. It's only 4 pages long.
Below are just a few examples. 45.21(b) no marks that modifies or confuses 45.21(c)(2) must have no ornamentation. 45.22(b)(2) displays no other mark that begins with the letter "N" anywhere on the aircraft. |
