Tip: Measure the panel tilt with an iPhone
 

I saw, in a recent "project thread", a builder using a digital level to accurately set the 8 degree bend in the forward bulkhead.

I needed to do something similar but didn't have a digital level. Then it dawned on my that my iPhone has a bunch of built in sensors and there must be "an app for that".

Sure enough there is !

Yeah the iphone level apps are good; but make sure you check the calibration ! I have an iphone 5 and checked the app level against my smarttool level. It shows the app was 1.25 degrees out
Not much but but once i calibrated the apple app it was within .20 of the smart tool got me thinking which one is correct :confused:

Good enough for a panel or wing alignment :rolleyes:

look for bostich or stanley in the app store.

I found the "Stanley Level". Nice option !
