Torque steel bolt into aluminum casting

Hi,

I'm mounting the prop governor with an AN5 bolt into aluminum threads. Does anyone have info on torque specs?

Thanks,

Check your thread pitch before you do that. There is also a Lycoming document that covers it. Unfortunately, it is not at hand. Maybe somebody else can provide a link for you.

Tom, I am pretty sure those bolts are course thread. Also check lyc. service instruction 1438a (plate lw-12347 & two 72053 gaskets) to see if it applies to your applications. It applies to my engine as I am adding it now to fix an oil leak @ 51 hours. Ron
