Gear for fall trips

I notice several fly-ins that include an overnight this Fall that my wife and I are planning to experience. We used to camp as a family back in the day and now that we are empty-nesters, it gives us an opportunity.

We have am MSR Elbow Room 2 tent http://cascadedesigns.com/msr/tents/...oom-2p/product and a double bag http://www.alssports.com/The-North-F...LAID=541779904

In the interest of making this as comfortable for my wife (and maybe me) :) I was hoping for an air mattress to fit inside a 50" wide tent. Can't find one, no way, no how. Any ideas appreciated, and hope to see you out there.

Try 2 Thermarest mattresses

I agree. Get the Thermarest.
My wife had trouble with hots spots on the rolled foam mattress.
I just purchased 2 Thermarest mattresses from www.REI.com
They were on sale last week. Depending on the model, they weigh about 2-3 lbs depending on the blown up thickness(1.5 or 2 inch).

Yep, thermarest are great. We have two "dreamtime" thermarests, which are about 3" thick (2" thermarest with 1" foam) and they are as good as or better than regular mattresses. They don't roll up quite as small as other thermarests, but I can get mine down to about 5" diameter when rolled.

You may also look into Nemo Equipment. They have some sleeping pads that are really good too. http://www.nemoequipment.com/cosmo-air
