Engine log entry?

My airplane is in the 90% done, 90% to go phase. Several months ago, I received an AD notice on the Lycoming fuel pump on my clone engine. Fortunately, the AD did not affect me.

Should an entry be made in the engine log book that states I have investigated the AD and that the AD did not apply? Any guide lines of what should be entered in the logs in general would be great. Many thanks.

Wow, good question------------opinion only, but I have always found that flooding buricrats with unneeded info is better than not having something that they want.

I would put it in, may save you a lot of head scratching later wondering if you failed to comply with something you should have.

Yes, All ADs should be listed in the engine log book. List the AD and why it does not apply to your engine.
