Photography and Insurance

I know a lot of RV pilots an pasengers take cameras along on their flights and I enjoy their pictures in the posts on this forum. I just saw this article on the EAA site and wanted to bring it to the attention of this forum. I would have never thought to check my insurance policy before taking a camera along on a flight.

The article is not about taking a camera along or about taking all the photos you want to, it is about professional photography. It is also an insurance ad.

Its really not a good idea to be the PIC while taking photos. This incident hits close to home for me. If you want to take pictures while flying, bring along a passenger to take them or another pilot to control the plane while you do.. Someone needs to piloting the plane while someone else does the photo taking.
