Steve and Doug,

Good catch! I even out the CHTs by applying partial carb heat. On the 3rd run yesterday I turned the carb heat off to see if it would make difference in speed or fuel flow(it did not).

My CHTs are usually within about 10-20deg of each other with the exception of #1 that will be a bit cooler.

I'll get a pic next time I am up.

Went on a Spotted Cow run tonight - this is how the CHTs balance out with a bit of carb heat:

I just bought an RV9A. Nowhere near those numbers. Is your prop constant speed? I?m just getting the aircraft disabled in.

Yep. Hartzell, carb, dual EI,

Time for year 13 numbers!

The morning was a bummer with the funeral for a co-worker's fiance, but clouds were clearing off, and I thought I would take the -9A up to get some yearly performance numbers......

Lower layer moving East - pretty nice day up at 7500! Pic looking south, you can see KANE in the distance.....

There's the sweet spot - about 150KTAS on ~6GPH! Let's see if the 4 way says it is true...I know the Dynon has a dead spot......

Numbers looking pretty good - stiff wind out of the west, but speed a little better than advertised!!

FlightRadar 24 captures the action!

Looks like the old girl can still get up and run! I also got this low and slow data point the other day, good for going nowhere at all.....

Still thrilled with my baby after all these years!

Numbers

It's crazy how close our numbers are.
I have a 9A with O-320, 160HP, and Hartzell prop.
I was getting 150KTAS after 3 direction check.
I just got my nosewheel pant put on (was running without) and am about to retest.
I'm hoping for another 2kts.
