ECI Cylinders

Hi Everyone, I was told today that someone had made a statement on one of
the list that ECI had an AD on cylinders. The only AD on ECI cylinders is on
the Classic Cast Cylinder which ECI has not manufactured since 2001.
The AD does not apply to the ECI Titan cylinder that they have been
manufacturing for the last 6 years. If you have any questions you can go to
the ECI web site SB # 05-8.

Thanks, Robbie

The AD is only for the "Classic Cast" cylinders, and knee jerk from Big Brother. The AD does have a list of the "suspicious" cylinders. No Titans included. Whew. just bought six for my -10.

An update with ECI. I'm helping a friend whose Warrior has had cylinder problems since his engine was OHed. Rings replaced twice, and this second time around, with lesss than 400 hrs TT, the cylinders were worn out. They were the Classic cast.
ECI sent Dale four new Titan complete stud assemblies free of charge. Not too bad.
I'm reminded of the numerous instances when both Lycoming and Continental made "mistakes" and corrections/replacements came out of our pockets.
