wire questions - strobe & flap
 
I almost have all my wires run... just have to make the connections. But I have two remaining questions:
  • What size wire to the flap motor? It comes with 20 awg leads, I assume that 's OK?
  • What kind/size of wire to the strobe power supply? Do you run the shielded 3 conductor wire or use regular wire with a ground run? If regular, which size?

From what I've read, the no-load draw of the flap motor is 800 mA. Even if the current with load is 4 times that, you could use a 5A fuse with 20 gauge wire. Maybe even 22 would be sufficient. It's an intermittent load, so that helps as well.

I'm not positive, but I think you can run regular wire to the strobe power supply. It appears that is what Dan did:
