Red 5606 hydraulic fluid
 

Does anyone have a guaranteed solution for stopping red fluid from seeping from the feed side of my RV-7 copilot brake system?? I'm afraid to put anymore pressure on the tighten side for fear of snapping it.

Try loctite #565. It seals well. Don't be fooled into thinking it doesn't work when you see that it doesn't set up outside of the fitting. It needs an absence of air to set up and seal. I will confirm the # when I get to the shop this evening, but I'm pretty sure #565 is correct.

edit: I'm losing my confidence, it may be #567. Jack

Wallbanger: I stopped by my shop/hanger and sure enough, it's loctite 565. Sorry for the delay. Try it out. I got the idea from Dan Checoway and it worked. Jack
