Voice Alarms on Garmin 296
 

In anticipation of Garmin one day supporting voice alerts on the GPSMap 296 in aviation mode, I wired the Speaker+ output to my Audio bus (Vx Aviation AMX-1A http://www3.telus.net/aviation/vx.html ).

I didn't expect any voice output because Garmin does not support this in Aviation mode, but I was quite suprised when I got a voice power failure alarm.

This may be a useful function for some applications where it's handy to detect a tripped breaker. FYI.

Now, if Dynon would just add voice alerts to the D10A for the AOA or other functions, we'd be set.

Do products like the Sport AOA have an audio output that can be mixed into intercom audio?

Yes, it does. The lady inside the AOA yells "angle angle push" when your AOA gets too high and you are about to stall.
