Tip: Paint Run Removal
I had heard of this trick, but had never seen it done. Nice!
The razor blade prep is in the first video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi7LT0OBOis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiuEZoJGR9w |
I bought some tools from Eastwood to work on runs but that trick is way better. Too bad there aren't more pro's that will share their trade secrets likwe that.
I was worried about the thickness of my clearcoat so I didn't buff. I shaved the runs in the color but the ones in the clearcoat are there for everyone to see... if your looking at my plane, please don't point them out. I know exactly where everyone of them is located. :( Karl Now in Sandpoint, ID :) |
As part of my job I have to paint 2pak regularly and as an average painter I have used this method to remove runs and dirt from paint all the time ,it has saved me from reworking stuff more times than I can count, Snap-on also sell a small de-nib file over here which works fairly well, cheers Mat

I hadn't thought to look at YouTube for 'how to' guides. Doug |
