Tip: Good videos on making hoses
I've wanted to try making some hoses for my RV-8, so I read everything here and dug up a lot of sources of fittings, hose material, tools etc. but was still confused about what it takes. Yesterday I found some videos that show how to do it pretty well. It really does not look that hard, even cutting the hose.
Page with videos on making -6 hose, cutting hose, and source of fittings http://www.myspace.com/earlsstore1 #6 swivel seal hose assembly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDSozy6MZto&eurl= Source for materials and tools: http://www.anplumbing.com/ It may be time to order some hose and fittings and give it a try. The hard part now is deciding which aeroquip hose to buy. I want to replace some 3/8" tubing in my fuel system to make a good Andair installation even better, and I want to make some -4 hoses to spiff up the brake system. Here's a company that helped me a lot finding some male-female AN-6 swivel connectors. Great service and very helpful: http://www.suprasport.com/index.html |
