Garmin 496 audio out question
 

I used a standard stereo cable from the 496 to my panel's music-in jack but I don't hear anything. I initially thought it was the music-in jack on the panel that was the problem, but I just tried plugging my iPod Nano into the panel using the same cable and it worked perfectly.

Is there some setting or something else I need to make the 496 audio output work? I have the XM weather and audio subscription and it has worked fine using the in-line speaker on the 12v DC power connector.

I know I could probably find this in the manual, but I am hoping someone else has already solved the problem.

There are music out settings, or mute settings you may have to check out. Look in the audio section, or settings. Check the volume also.
