Tip: Great Canopy Weather Strip Product
I saw recently another thread about canopy noise, and I've had great luck with this stuff:
http://www.mdteam.com/products.php?category=1667 The shape is good, and it is silicone, so it doesn't get stiff in the cold at all. I don't recall where I found it, but it was local. They seem to have a lot of different shapes, and perhaps they sell directly, I didn't look. I used it on the front portion of the slider skirts on my 6A, and also on the rear skirts. I stuck it directly on the turtle deck skins, playing around with temporarily taping it in place. When I found the best spot, I used the self adhesive on it. On the side skirts, I attached it to the inside of the skirts. It has been on for about four years now, no problems at all coming loose. |
The Borg
Most of the MD line can be found at the BORG(HDepot) ,Menards and maybe Lowes. In the aviation aisle, of course.
