Riveting Rudder Nutplates

I'm getting ready to rivet the rudder spar and nutplates together. I can't find any notes on the plans about what rivets to use on the nuts themselves. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Also, do the shop heads go on the inside, or the outside?

Thanks!

When in doubt 1.5 diameters for the shop head. It's direction is your choice but the shop head would probably be better against the nut plate.

Look at dwg #7, the side view of the rudder has the fastener callouts at the uppermost and bottom rod end bearing detail. I don' remember if these were correct, use the 1.5 D rule if needed. The plans do have fastener callout errors.

Sometimes ya gotta hunt down those callouts!

I don't think I have failed to eventually find them, but you may have go looking through several sheets of plans, as you will find out with the wing kit for some of the brackets.
