RV-7 wing rib hole diameter
 

Hi brains trust

Could someone please tell me what the diameter of the lightening hole forward of the spar in the wing rib is please?



Can I also assume that the RV-6 wing is the same?

On my RV-6 wing it is about 4 and a half inches.

I fly cut mine to about 4 7/16 and I would not want to go any more than 4 5/8 inches for sure.

112-116 millimeters on the metric side.

Just checked my RV7 4 3/4

Just measured mine and it is just shy of 4-24/32" . 4.745" exactly. I suppose prep, durburring, priming etc would could change that number some. Both right and left measure the same on my 7 wings.
