High altitude spice containers
Last year going to Oshkosh a couple of my plastic spice/rub containers blew open due to the altitude (only 9500), wondering what others use to take spices and rubs etc. for cooking while airplane camping. I figure ziplocks with the air squeezed out might be OK but would like something a bit more robust that wont come apart.

Zip lock bags
Take the spices in zip locks and empty spice bottles with lids off. Transfer contents when you arrive.

Now we know who?s behind the ?Cookware for Pilots? tent in the Flymarket.

Small ziplocks...
Small ?snack size? ziplocks with a single pinhole worked for me.....most of the spices being too small to exit the hole. Bonus was tha cabin had a nice fragrance.
Other option is to raid your herb garden for fresh. Mmmm, fresh basil..... |
Consider using Nalgene plastic containers. They come in all sizes and robust enough to handle pressure changes. Any camping/outdoor store should have them.
