Counter Sunk Hole Damage Repair?
 

We had to drill out a flush rivet and did some sight damage to the countersunk material on the upper surface piece only. We have no edge distance problems and can easily go to a -5 rivet from a -4. Is this the typical solution for marring the countersunk material?

Depends on the thickness, you'll not want to countersink so far as to knife edge the hole.
