What happened to Van's engine gauges

Folks,

A friend just had an overvolt and fried all his stock engine gauges.

The Van's web site shows them as no longer available...What gives?

Thanks,

Tim

Did you try asking Vans?

Chief aircraft

I believe Chief has exactly the same instruments without the RV logo on them.

I suspect sales probably dropped to almost zero... almost everyone is installing an EFIS of some kind now.

On behalf of the traditionalist here, I bought the Van's engine gauges a few months ago, to go along with the new steam VFR gauges going in my -6, I think they are the same as the Chief gauges, don't give up the fight, build the airplane you want.

If anyone is interested, I do have several Vans gages that I did not use in my build. New and unused in the box: tach, fuel pressure, ammeter, CHT, EGT, and a fuel primer.

Vans guages available

I have two fuel level guages and a voltmeter with 10 hrs on them on the shelf.
