RV8 Landing / taxi light in engine cowl .

Hi All

Ive just started building a RV8 , ive built wooden airplanes before , but this metal is a whole new experience !

Ive been reading up about landing lights and the plan is to fit some FLYLEDS " the works " lighting units in my wingtips. Im concerned that there wont be any light in the 12 o'clock position, id rather not cut the leading edge , so has anybody thought about fitting a lighting unit in the lower engine cowl, like a Cessna ??

Is there room?

It Should be the ideal location?

Whats your thoughts guys ?

Not sure if LED's would help this or not, but Cessna eventually moved the landing lights to the wing because the heat and vibration in the Cowling caused excessively short life for the landing light bulbs in the nose bowl.
