USB Power Options

He who hesitates is lost... It seems Commitlift is no longer making/selling panel-mounted USB power jacks. Is anyone else making noise-free, USB power jacks for a reasonable price? I've seen a few posts about Anker cigarette-lighter style adapters but i'd prefer a more permanent installation.

I'm getting tired of the nest of wires coming out of my cigarette lighter adapter, and would like enough ports to power my tablet, phone, SPOT, and Stratux.

Or these, higher amp rating:

I've seen them reviewed somewhere and seem to recall Stein mods them somehow for noise.

I'm putting 2 in the upgrade...

Stein

Another plug for Stein. Installed for months and no radio interference or problems.

Based on the pic it looks exactly the same to me - including the included connectors.

I still haven't found where I read that Stein modified these somehow ... perhaps he will chime in if he reads this.

I like the one (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...lickkey=156696) made by Quiet Power, but it's more expensive. I too had a Commit Lift and it broke. Very flimsy so I opted for one contained in an aluminum cube, and it also fit the existing panel mount holes from the Commit Lift unit.

I messed with lots of cheaper ones. None are as silent as Stein's. I use it with a Samsung phablet, charges well.

I have two that work fine. Not sure about noise issues, YMMV
