Need help on dismantling and crating

Can anyone give me details of who could help on the dismantling and crating of an RV7A for shipment to Europe. I am based at Lincoln Park N07 in New Jersey. Thanks. Personal e-mail is stevepattinson@glendinning.us

I don't want to take hijack the thread but I'm just curious: isn't it easier just to fly it there? I'm sure there's a good reason not to (or you wouldn't be going through this trouble) and I'm wondering what it is.

It's probably cheaper and a *whole lot* less risky.

Steve, a good shipping company that specializes in this type of shipping should be able to secure it inside a container pretty well. I hear they do an amazing job when packing up cars.. I'd start by making some calls to some of those companies.. they may not be able to help you remove the wings, but they should be able to secure it inside a container.

Thanks for the input, I will check it out. To fly to Europe is one **** of a trip. Thats the new owners option but the plane is not IFR nor I think is the new owner. So much easier to put into a container
