RV aircraft leveling

Does anyone know the leveling points for an RV-7A or RV-6A for mounting ADAHRS? I'm figuring across the gunwales (for the Navy folk)(tip ups across the sidewall rails)

Yup

The longitudinal leveling reference are the canopy rails. Laterally, gunwale to gunwale should work fine!

Cheers,

Vac

Thank you Vac. I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. :)

If you inflate the mains to about 42 you should be able to let the air out of the nose tire and be able to get it level forward and aft as well. Use a level for side to side and forward and aft, or you could take a digital level and duplicate it.,I have done it both ways.

The longerongs (gunwales) are only the leveling point as far foreward as the panel. Forward of this point they angle downhill, so you can't use the longerons behind the panel as a level reference.
