Engine Timing For Mags
 

How are you guys timing your engine mags.?? I had an order in at Aircraft Spruce for the Rite System, but I have learned they are out of business. Thanks, Mark C. RV9A

Works fine and mag timing is fairly simple if you take your time and triple check everything. Have somebody who has done it help you the first time.

This is what I use every day in our shop. It has outlasted every commercially available timing unit we have used.

Yes, there is a time . . . I got the E50, great to have something to work out of the box.

Ditto for this unit.
 

We have had a few of all kinds of the timing buzz boxes down through the years. When we picked one of these up 10-15 years ago, we have come to use it and have gotten read of the others. Only one hint to make its life last. When you get through with it that day, "take the battery out" and leave it out tell you use it again, then put it back in.
