Garmin 296 Scuttlebutt?
 

I heard a rumor tonight that Garmin is going to announce a 296 with XM weather at Osh for ~ $2000.00. Anyone else heard this?

I think it would be a bad mistake for them not to do this, since they already have the technology available for their marine 3006C (and other) units. This would put WX in the cockpit for a *lot* of people, especially folks like me who shy away from the PDA-based solutions due to their awkwardness and questionable screen visibility under a bubble canopy.
