Intake pipe connection

Good day,

I have an IO 360 With a bit of a loose Intake Pipe Connection.
I was hoping someone has a swagging tool (lycoming part 64781) that I could borrow or rent.
Alternatively does anyone know of a shop in SE Texas that I might ferry the airplane to for the repair.

Thanks
Rodney

Careful cleaning & your choice of flexible sealants works pretty well (for about a decade on one I'm intimately familiar with).

Zephyr engines in Florida rented me theirs when I needed one. The deposit was steep, but was fully refunded when I returned the tool.

Edited to add: Removing the old tube was a bear. Fitting and swedging the new one was easy with the swedging tool.

Loose sump intake pipe

Several years ago I had a loose sump intake pipe, my engine builder (Aerosport power) said to clean the area very well and to use Green Wicking Locktite. Sorry I don't remember the Locktite part number. This is a common repair for this problem and works very well.

Thank you for the input

Good evening,

We found a source to rent the swagging tool. Should be in Houston tomorrow.
Plan on using the green loctite as well.
Thank you for the information.

Fly safe
Rodney
