Garmin 430 current draw
 

Can anybody tell me approximately how many amps the Garmin 430 draws when it is switched on but not transmitting COM.

My load analysis spreadsheet shows 2.13 A.

Walter, does it offer a load value while transmitting too?

Never did find this exactly but I believe it's 5A. But don't quote me :)

My Load Analysis spreadsheet if you want it. It's not complete but it's
a pretty good start. I believe they use it as a handout in the aeroelectric
class.
