Talkeetna, AK Latitude 62 Restaurant/Bar
 
Short walk south east of airport, across the rail road tracks. Great homemade soups, french fries, "Latitude burgers" , halibut burgers, etc. Talkeetna is the staging point for most Mt. McKinley climbers, who are flown to the Kahiltna glacier from Talkeetna's airport.

Spent the night in the Hotel in town,a few years back on my way back from Homer to Fairbanks. Really nice town, and a must-stop type of place...
