Whats the dif. between Trutraks standard and VS servos?

I may be out to lunch here and if so, I am sure it will be corrected but I believe the servos are the same. The vs version autopilots have 'vertical steering' capabilities.

There is a difference between the trim sensing and non-trim sensing servos though (i.e. if you get the automatic pitch trim).

That is correct. The "VS" servos are used on the Digiflight II "VS" series and up autopilots (and also includes the Altrak VS). Otherwise they are the basic servos that don't sense trim...
